Wellawaya Siththarampala Cooperative Rural Bank Society Wins Multiple Honors at the UVA CO-OP Performance Awards 2026
In celebration of the 104th International Day of Cooperatives, the "UVA CO-OP Cooperative Performance Awards – 2026" recognized outstanding achievements of cooperative institutions across the Uva Province. We are proud to announce that Wellawaya Siththarampala Cooperative Rural Bank Society Ltd. secured several prestigious awards at this distinguished ceremony.
The awards ceremony was held under the patronage of Hon. Attorney-at-Law J.M. Kapila Jayasekara, Governor of the Uva Province. During this prestigious event, our society received the following remarkable recognitions:
🥇 Gold Award – Best Cooperative Rural Bank Society in Uva Province Wellawaya Siththarampala Cooperative Rural Bank Society Ltd. was honored with the Gold Award for being recognized as the Best Cooperative Rural Bank Society in the Uva Province.
🥈 Silver Award – Best Cooperative Rural Bank Branch in Uva Province Our Handapanagala Cooperative Rural Bank Branch received the Silver Award in recognition of being named the Best Cooperative Rural Bank Branch in the Uva Province.
⭐ First Place in Provincial Performance Ranking The Society also secured First Place in the 2025 Uva Province Performance Ranking among Cooperative Rural Bank Societies and Rural Bank Branches, achieving an impressive BBB Performance Rating.
These prestigious awards were presented by Hon. R.M. Jayawardhana, Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development.
